I have put a lot of thought into this next statement.

Recessions are a good and necessary part of capitalism, they are not an indication of the failure of capitalism as the socialists would have you believe.

SPRING !!!  My favorite day of the year!!

I had noticed a few weeks ago that I had not fallen ill all winter long, not even a slight cold. Knowing that winter was almost over I didn't mention anything to anyone for fear of jinxing it. I was sure that I was going to be able to say that I made it all winter with zero illness. Then, Wednesday of this week I began feeling a little tired, I figured it was from all of the hours that I had been putting in at work. By that evening I was doomed, I couldn't even lie to myself anymore, I was sick. I figured I caught a cold because I wasn't taking care of myself but by Thursday mid-day, I knew I had caught a bug. Now, on the day of the year that I hold up there with Christmas and the Fourth of July, I am sick, really sick.
 

 
Happy St. Patty's day. I have the evening off work and am enjoying my green beer. This AIG thing where Chucky Schumer wants to write a law that will target the individuals that received bonuses and take away their money really pisses me off to no end. If you don't see a problem with the Federal government targeting specific private citizens, then you just don't have any true understanding of what it means to be an American. Let it be known that I oppose ALL of the government "bailouts", but I also oppose this class warfare crap that the socialists are putting on us. What a company pays it's employees is private business between the company and the employee, the government has no Constitutional authority to dictate salaries, but then again, when has the Constitution ever gotten in the way of the socialist agenda. So much for equal treatment under the law.
 

 

Apparently the war on terror is over, the White House has put out orders to stop using the terms 'enemy combatant', 'terrorist' and 'war on terror', they are closing GITMO among other things. Since we are no longer fighting the war on terror, it must be over. My only question is...  Who won? In addition, terrorist attacks are now to be referred to as 'man-caused disasters'. This country is doomed.

 
We went downtown today to the Cincinnati Tea Party, it was a good day. It was nice to actually see other people that realize what kind of trouble our country is in and know that we are not alone.

It is clear to me now that Obama and the rest of the socialist party are in the process of destroying capitalism in this county, when they are done and everyone is beaten down as far as they can go, he will save us all with socialism. At the rate he is going, I figure this will take two to three years.

They are today passing "Cramdown", this should ensure the return of Carter era mortgage rates within the next five or six months at the latest.

AIG, yet another company deemed "too big to fail" by the socialists, has already been given $150,000,000,000 of taxpayers money and now they want to give them another $30,000,000,000. (That's a lot of zeros)

This is the difference between Capitalism and socialism, Capitalism automatically weeds out the bad companies while socialism rewards them with taxpayers money. There were people who, before the 2008 election, said that we should just let the left win the election so that the people of America would see just how bad they would run things and then the Republicans could come back in 2012 and be in power for a generation. While I was not one of these people, I did however entertain the idea but at the same time I knew that that is not the way things really work because once the left creates a socialist program, it never never never goes away.

It is my belief that Obama knows exactly what he is doing to the economy, he knows that he is destroying it, for at this point destruction is his goal because he believes that he can use this "crisis" (God, they love that word) to destroy Capitalism and then rebuild with a Marxist, socialist blueprint. Hugo Chavez must be a little jealous as Obama is moving much faster than he did.

Didn't anyone ever tell Obama that socialism has failed every time that it has been tried?

I remember when I was a child, I am guessing around 10 years old, asking my father what communism was. He explained that under communism,  The people collectively owned everything and that there were no personal possessions.  Now, being the inquisitive soul that I am I asked for more detail. We happen to be driving in the car past a bank. He explained that under communism, that bank would be owned and run by the government, not owned by individual people. While I didn't fully understand his explanation at the time, it's a conversation that I have never forgotten. Today, Obama has taken control over Citibank. While the socialists will spin it to say they only have 36% stock in the company, keep in mind that they are now the largest stockholder and control who sits on the board of directors.

Now that the government runs Citibank, their bank must compete with all of the other banks out there in the market. First of all, do you really think that they can do a better job than the private sector? Keep in mind the type of service you receive from other government agencies, the Post Office and the DMV always come to mind as prime examples, not to mention our government schools. I think we all know that government will not do a better job of running their new bank as most of the other successful banks out there. But they (the socialists) have much to prove, they now need Citibank to succeed above all other banks, they need it to surpass all expectations to show that they are better at running things than the free market is. Does anyone really expect the government to play fair and run Citibank under the same rules and regulations as all other banks? Of course not, they will regulate the other banks right out of business and as those banks begin to fail from the new impossible regulations, the government will be there ready and waiting to take them over as well. There will come a point very soon where the government will be forced to nationalize all banks for our own good.
