Banned From SodaHead.com

Banned From SodaHeadI was banned (deactivated) from SodaHead.com today. I received no email from them or explanation so I can only guess as to why this has happened.

If you are unaware of SodaHead.com, it is a site where people can share opinions. I went back to read everything that I had posted recently and discovered that a comment I made several days earlier had been deleted, I am assuming that may have been what caused them to ban me.

It was a comment regarding the treasonous actions being taken by wikileaks.org, I had said that I supported deadly force being used to stop the release of our nation’s classified documents. I also said that if I happen to be there when the person was to hit the “publish” button to put these documents in the hands of our enemies, that I would shoot the person myself to stop them. (Here is the page, my last comment has been removed)

If I were witness to criminal activity where one person was threatening the life of another, would I not be obligated to take action? Obviously, deadly force is not always the answer, but sometimes it is. If a phone call to the police is all that is needed then that is what would be appropriate, if picking up a baseball bat would do the job then so be it, but there are times when deadly force is required and anything short of that will result in tragedy. With that said, not all people are willing to do what is necessary in certain circumstances. A person may be willing to pick up the phone but not pick up a baseball bat. I think a good percentage of people would be hard pressed to pull the trigger to kill a bad guy, even if they know it would save the victim’s life.

My point about the wikileaks.org treason situation was to show that I believe that numerous lives are at stake, and that the release of these classified documents will directly result in the deaths of our military and foreigners who have aided us. Knowing that lives are at stake, I would do whatever I could to stop this, if it rose to the level where I was had to kill someone to stop it, I would do so.

To quote SodaHead’s terms of use agreement: “SodaHead may delete User Content at any time for any purpose including but not limited to violations of these Terms of Use or for being offensive, illegal or violate the rights, harm, or threaten the safety of any person.”

Side Note: I respect the right of each website to make it’s own rules and block whomever they want. We have no “Right” to post comments on other people’s websites, each website owner has ultimate authority.

So to anyone from SodaHead that may read this, if this is the reason that you deactivated me, then you should never reactivate me because I stand by my words.

Follow Up: They have since re-instated me yet never communicated why I was banned.
